In Joy school, the parents learn that if we say "Who did this?" We're just teaching our children to lie because nobody will ever confess to such an accusation if presented with that question. Instead, parents shouldn't make these times such scary moments. We could say something like "Oh no, did Mr. nobody make this mess? I'm going to leave the room and I hope that Mr. Nobody will clean it up by the time I get back." Well, the other day I came into the family room and the decorative pillow that I made for our couch had many of the beautiful tassles pulled out with literal threads of evidence all over the carpet. I know which child of mine likes this form of entertainment. It's not the first time it has happened. My first reaction was to blame her and make her feel guilty about it. Then I remembered our Joy School lesson and quickly changed my approach. I asked "Did Mr. Nobody do this?" To which Grace replied "No, it was Mrs. Nobody."

Once again LOL. Seriously Erica, you should write a book of these darling little one liners your girls come up with. Too cute!!!
Seriously! I'm glad you're recording all these funny moments. You and your girls will LOVE to go back and read them later. Life is never boring with Grace and Mae around!
that's really funny. I like that approach though. It makes being a kid not so hard and doesn't set them up to lie...thanks for sharing.
Oh my goodness, that's hilarious! What a smart little girl. Your girls are getting cuter everyday, bytheway.
