Singing the National Anthem at the Suns Game
This was one of the coolest things I have ever done. It was pretty nerve racking, but so fun. I told Alan that singing is my skydiving. That's how I like to get my adrenaline rush :)
It was cool to be down on the floor while all the players were warming up. After I sang, I got a high five from Dan Majerle.
Mom and Dad bought a few tickets to the game. Mom, Alan and I went early. So B.J. and Alexis brought Grace and Mae. Thanks fam!
Highland Talent Show
Gracie tried out for the Highland talent show as a kindergartner. She sings her little heart out at home - and she's GOOD! She got a little shy in the auditions, but once the real show began, she belted that big voice of hers. She sang "Tomorrow" from Annie, and they let Mae go up on stage with her dressed as Sandy, the dog. It was too cute! The talent show was on Alan's birthday. So after Grace held out her long note at the end, she said "Happy Birthday, Dad" into the mic. Go Gracie! Happy Birthday, Alan. I don't think I have any pictures of him on his birthday. Sorry!!!

The Big Move is Coming
Here are some pictures of the old house
We're going to miss you!
It's hard to leave anywhere for me. It's especially hard when you put work into it and made it really feel your own. I faux painted the living room, Alan and I painted the family room, we refinished the kitchen cupboards (requiring many sleepless nights), we got new counter tops in the kitchen, we painted the pink stripes in the nursery, I painted the girls room, made most of the curtains, etc. I hope someone enjoys it and appreciates it as much as we did. We're going to miss our friends and ward too. We won't be far, but it's never the same.
This month was a crazy one, trying to get the old house ready to rent and getting the other house ready to move into. Most nights, I would get the girls to sleep and then go to the new house to paint. I tried to do my projects during the day, but painting with a toddler, doesn't work out well. So I was driving home exhausted many nights at 1:00 or 2:00 a.m. Embarrassingly enough, I got pulled over twice in a one week period for drunk driving that late at night. (and no - I was not drunk, just extremely tired). I didn't get a ticket either time - passed the tests. Phew!
