Claire Sophia's blessing day

We decided to bless Claire the night before. It made for a very quiet, low-key day. We wanted to do it before all the crazy holiday festivities began.

One of my favorite things is to hear Alan bless our babies. He gave her a very sweet blessing and felt impressed to bless her with a spirit of missionary work. I always tell him to bless our babies with the same thing; that they will someday marry in the temple and raise a righteous family of their own. Claire is such a sweet, cuddly, quiet, content baby. We love having her in our family.

Claire wore the same dress that Grace and Mae wore for their blessings. My grandma Sandstrom made it and embroydered their names and birthdays on the bottom of the dress. I will have to embroider Claire's name because grandma passed away last year. I wish she could have been here for the blessing. That beautiful dress is even more special now.

The next best thing about that day, is that Grace had a talk in Primary, so all her Grandmas got to be there to hear her talk. I'm sure it was the biggest audience they have ever had in Primary. Grace loved it!!!

p.s. I look very tired in all these pictures, and thought about touching up the bags under my eyes, but I decided against it - this is our life history, so I better make sure it's an accurate depiction - and tired is accurate!!!
