Last month I had my first ballet recital for my own studio. It turned out well, but I was kind of a stress case. It was definitely a learning experience. I think it will be much easier next time. I tried to save money and made some modest, inexpensive costumes for the jazz class (which don't exist in the dance community apparently). It was very rewarding to see all those cute girls on stage dancing their hearts out though. It was especially rewarding to see my own children up there. It was fun, but the best part about it was when it was over:)
Grace and Mae both love to dance, but Mae lives to perform! She was throwing an absolute fit before she was supposed to go on stage because something on her ballet slipper was bugging her. Well, you should have seen that mood instantly change when the lights turned on and it was her turn to dance. She is such a ham. We can always count on her for some comic relief. I'll let you know when she gets diagnosed as bipolar.

How fun. I just had my annual dance recital last night. I am so glad it is over. Although it was really low key this year. I am sorry about your friend's little boy. I heard the news and wanted to talk to you.
OK, cutest ever! You're amazing Erica! That is so cool you are able to do all this! Looks like it was a big success! And you MADE the costumes?? Geez! You ARE wonderwoman! You must be a Soelberg! ;)
