Charades
While we were up at the cabin for the long weekend, we played charades for the first time with our little family. It was a Sunday night and everyone had taken naps. We had to get creative. The game went on for over an hour and it was probably the most fun we've ever had as a family. The highlight of the evening (and I wish a had a picture of it) was when Alan whispered in Grace's ear to act out "a Popsicle." Grace went to the front of the room and stood as still as a statue with her arms glued to her sides. Alan kept telling her to start acting it out (assuming she was going to pretend to lick a Popsicle). Finally she said, without moving a muscle, "I'm doing it, Dad!" After many clues from Alan and even more guesses, we finally got it! We couldn't stop laughing. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.

Erica, I love reading the funny stories about your family. I can just picture you and your girls running from the geese and Grace pretending to be a popsicle. I'm sure you had tears streaming down your face you were laughing so hard. Please keep them coming! The only thing missing is pictures!!
Erica!!!! Shut up! I can't believe it's you! I saw your comment on Sara's blog and had to pop over to yours. Oh my heavens your girls are darling! And I can't believe how grown up Grace is! I guess it makes sense, but it still is so crazy that she's not still as little as she was the last time we saw you guys. It looks like life is going great for you guys and I am SO happy for you!! You look as gorgeous as always and you and Alan have the cutest little family. So, so cute!
Grace is so funny. I can just picture her standing there so still. Thx for the idea about charades; we'll have to try it w/ our family!
So funny. That is a good idea!
